This 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 began as a Raven Black two-door Club Sedan that was built with a 223ci inline-six, and it has been modified with a 427ci FE âHigh Riserâ V8, a four-speed manual transmission, and a Thunderbolt-style hood and intake. A Thunderbolt-style hood has been added, and the badges have been removed. The 15â³ chrome wheels wear 26Ã6 front and 28. The Galaxie 500 had a coil-spring front suspension and asymmetrical rear suspension with leaf springs mounted on the axle forward of the spring centers to reduce rear-end squat. The cabin has been re-trimmed with blue upholstery. The radio and ashtray were removed, and a Hurst shifter was installed. The three-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer has been reset and now shows 40 miles. Total mileage is unknown. The 427ci FE âHigh Riserâ V8 was installed in 2022 and has dual four-barrel carburetors and a Thunderbolt-style airbox.
