A refurbishment in the 2000s involved re-trimming the interior in white and installing a 239ci flathead V8 joined to a three-speed automatic transmission and an 8” rear end. Power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes were also added along with a Mustang II front suspension. Other equipment includes an Offenhauser intake manifold, dual Holley 94 carburetors, Edelbrock cylinder heads, American Racing 15” wheels, exhaust headers, and an electric trunk lid popper. The car was repainted in black in the 1990s and features a split windshield, a red-accented grille, aftermarket supplementary turn signals, and a rear bumper embossed with a Ford emblem. The trunk lid hardware has been shaved, and an electric popper is operated with a switch inside the fuel filler door. Delamination is visible in the pop-out quarter windows, and bubbling paint, cracks, and blemishes around the car can be viewed in the gallery. The listing photos were taken in 2023. This is a relist after the vehicle was listed on BaT in November 2023 and withdrawn due to a leak from the transmission, which has since been repaired.
