This 1930 Ford Model A hot rod was completed in 2014 and utilizes a chopped and channeled five-window coupe body mounted on a TCI chassis. Power is from a Corvette-sourced 327ci small-block V8 equipped with an Offenhauser intake manifold and triple Stromberg carburetors. Additional highlights of the build include a Bell dropped front axle, front disc brakes, a Vega-style steering box, a 700R4 automatic transmission, and a quick-change rear end. Upholstered in buckskin leather, the cabin features a ’40 Ford steering wheel, a floor shifter, lap seatbelts, custom instrumentation, and an under-seat stereo with Bluetooth capability. The five-window coupe body is steel and has been chopped 2″ and channeled 4 ¾”. It rides on a Total Cost Involved chassis constructed from rectangular steel tubing. Exterior features include a tilt-out windshield, tinted side windows, a sun visor, a vinyl roof panel, dual sideview mirrors, a Deuce-style grille shell, and turn signals integrated into the headlights. Steel 15″ wheels wear Moon-style disc hubcaps and are mounted with 195-width BFGoodrich tires up front and 8″ pie-crust slicks out back. Front suspension incorporates a dropped Bell axle with a transverse leaf spring, while the quick-change rear axle features a four-link setup and coilovers. Braking is provided by vented discs up front and drums out back.
