6-liter flat-six mated to a six-speed manual transaxle. The car is finished in black over a gray interior, and equipment includes hardback sport seats, 17â³ two-piece wheels, integrated fog lights, headlight washers, a power-operated glass roof panel, a speed-activated rear spoiler, cruise control, air conditioning, and a Kenwood CD stereo. The 993 Targa was based on the convertible bodyshell and featured a revised roof with a lifting and sliding glass center section as opposed to the removable top found on earlier 911 Targa models. Features headlight washers, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. The Targa roof was repaired in 2022. Targa-specific two-piece 17â³ wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires measuring 205/50 up front and 255/40 out back. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The tires were installed in 2023, at which time the front brakes pads, rotors, and sensors were replaced. The hardback front sport seats feature power height adjustments and were re-covered at the time of the repaint, and a replacement steering wheel and shift knob were also installed. Additional amenities include cruise control, air conditioning, and a Kenwood CD stereo and amplifier.
