This Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod is a replica of a 1933 Ford Roadster that was built during the filming of Car Warriors, a television series on Speed Channel that first aired in 2012. The car is powered by a 302ci Ford V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and equipped with a Nitrous Express nitrous-oxide system and an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor. The car is built utilizing a composite body that is finished in silver and mounted on a steel box frame chassis equipped with adjustable coilovers, a cantilever-style front suspension, a Moser Engineering rear axle, Wilwood calipers, drilled and slotted rotors, and 18″ American Racing wheels. The interior is trimmed in black leather with brown diamond-stitched cloth inserts and incorporates red accents, a Billet Specialties steering wheel, a Lokar shifter, AutoMeter instrumentation, and Simpson racing harnesses. The hand-laid composite body is styled after a 1933 Ford and was finished in silver with air-brushed simulated rivets and hood louvers by Jeff “Da Bat” Miller of Miller Customs in Temecula, California. Additional details include a removable hood, crosshair headlights, engine-turned aluminum exhaust-surround trim, a chopped Plexiglass windshield, rear-hinged doors, a helmet fairing, and a roll hoop. American Racing 18″ Salt Flat Special wheels are mounted with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires measuring 215/45 up front and 275/40 out back. The car rides on adjustable coilovers at all four corners and features a cantilever-style front suspension with tubular upper control arms and adjustable lowers. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood calipers mounted over drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners. The cockpit houses fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in black leather with red piping and brown diamond-stitched cloth inserts.
