Work included installing the 5. 3-liter Vortec V8 and the 6L80E six-speed automatic transmission as well as repainting the truck black and refreshing the interior. Additional equipment includes 16″ Sawtooth wheels, tubular side steps, air conditioning, Dakota Digital gauges, a lockable center console, and a Kenwood stereo. Additional equipment includes tubular side steps, alpine windows, a receiver hitch, and a rear step bumper. The black-finished 16″ Sawtooth wheels are mounted with Nexen tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The power steering pump was replaced in July 2017 and the struts were replaced in 2023. The front bucket seats and rear bench were reupholstered in tan leather and the carpets and headliner were refreshed during the refurbishment. Appointments include air conditioning, a Lokar shifter, and a lockable center console with a Kenwood stereo. The door cards were reportedly replaced in 2023.
