Work performed during the refurbishment consisted of a repaint in blue, installing light gray canvas upholstery and a matching soft top, performing a 12-volt electrical system conversion, fitting a Saturn overdrive unit and Warn manually locking front hubs, resealing the engine, overhauling the brakes, and replacing the wiring harness, hood, one of the front fenders, seat frames, hardware, and assorted suspension and steering components. Exterior details include a light gray canvas soft top, sealed-beam headlights, a black grille guard and bumper, white Willys lettering, and a driver-side mirror. The windshield wipers have not been connected to the electrical system. Warn manually locking front hubs were added during the refurbishment, and additional work included overhauling the braking system. A replacement fuel tank is located under the driverâs seat, and there is a storage box under the right seat. A section of sheet metal in the storage box was reportedly replaced during the refurbishment. The boot at the base of the overdrive lever is not currently installed. A three-spoke steering wheel faces the driver, and centrally mounted instrumentation includes a replacement 70-mph speedometer and a coolant temperature gauge along with a retrofitted VDO tachometer and readouts for voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level.
