This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is finished in Honduras Maroon over black. Electronic ignition was added during this period, and a new carburetor, master cylinder, fuel pump, sending unit, and suspension bushings. Paint and chrome show some blemishes, with a dull spot on the trunk and pitting in some of the chrome. Two wheels were replaced with newer rims, but the originals are included in the sale. The black soft top was replaced around five years ago. Weatherstripping around the windshield is dry and cracked. Seats were recovered in black vinyl three years ago. The interior remains stock with a factory Wonderbar radio that powers on but does not make any sound. The dashpad has a bump on the passenger-side and is separating. The odometer shows about 9,700 miles, though true mileage is unknown. The 327ci V8 is believed original and paired to a Borg Warner 4-speed T10 manual transmission. Recent work includes installation of an upgraded HEI ignition along with a new carburetor, master cylinder, fuel sending unit, voltage regulator, coil, heater hoses, and battery. The fuel pump and ignition switch were replaced five months ago. The fresh air intake hose is missing from the air filter housing, and the stock carburetor is included.
