This 1989 Porsche 911 represents the very end of the mid-year body style’s 15-year production run. This example features just 46k miles from new, no mechanical modifications, extensive recent service and one respray in the original color. These late examples with the G50 gearbox feature all the improvements from the model’s run, and have long proven reliable sports cars which can happily be used every day.As with many 80s cars with dark plastic trim, white paint is an undeniably cool look. All plastic trim appears intact, darkly colored and free of obvious cracking. The car is dry and free of corrosion throughout, with the exception of one small bubble under the windshield seal as noted in photos. This is relatively common for 911s which have had either a windshield replacement or a respray. The standard 16″ Fuchs show well and have colored center crests.In the 1980s choosing an interior color meant much more than choosing the insert color on your seats, and the Navy blue leather in this car appears to be in very good shape from the seat upholstery to the shift boot. All standard equipment appears though the fitted stereo is a newer Blaupunkt CD player, manuals for which are included. All power features are said to work, as does the A/C. These late cars featured the much improved G50 gearbox rather than the balky 915 gearbox used in earlier cars, and this example sports a new clutch. Other recent service includes a reseal, slave cylinder, starter, new tires and plenty of other small items to put the car in top condition.
