When he bought it the engine bay was filled with a big block which proved to be too much for the street so he purchased a new 350 c.i./330 h.p. crate motor and has only logged about 1000 miles on the engine in the 25 years he has owned it. The transmission is believed to be the stock Borg Warner T10 unit with 3.08 gears out back in an open differential. The car has always been garage kept, includes the soft top (excellent condition) and hardtop. It runs great and shifts smoothly. The paint and body work look to be in very good condition except for a couple of marks (see photos). Chrome is fair, some pieces are pitted others need polishing. Interior is stock original style and in good condition. All the gauges work except the odometer, radio, clock, and tachometer (after-market item). The chassis is stock and was redone before he purchased the Vette. Frame is sold and appears to have no rust. Stock drum brakes and steering (both non-power). Electrically, all the lights and turn signals work, right rear brake light does not work (could be dirty ground). This ’62 is ideal for going to local cruise nights or just driving around town. It is in no way a #’s matching car.
