1967 Shelby GT 350. This car was sold new on May 15, 1967 This Dark Moss Green beauty came from the factory with Automatic transmission, factory air-conditioning, Magstar (Deluxe) wheels, tinted glass, AM radio, tachometer, power steering and power brakes. The Marti report verifies this information. This Shelby has gone through a complete ground-up restoration beginning with a chemical dipping. The body was prepped and professionally painted with all original sheet metal in its original color. All mechanical features were restored or rebuilt. The engine is not the original, but is a date correct 289 High Performance engine that is freshly rebuilt and balanced. The original matching number automatic transmission goes with the car; however, a Ford toploader 4 speed transmission is now installed. The original air compressor has been restored to original specs and the original C7ZZ tag is still attached. The car has the correct under dash Stewart-Warner gauges and the correct EPPI real wood Italian steering wheel. The Magstar wheels are new reproductions as are the Goodyear Speedway white letter 350 tires. The original 9” rear end is in place with the Shelby only 2 ½” rear drum brakes along with the four piston front disc brakes, and the original leaf springs are in the car. This car was purchased disassembled and appeared to have been apart since the mid 1970’s. Many of the parts were wrapped in Houston Chronicle newspapers dated circa 1975.
