Mercedes-Benz 280SL Convertible. custom paint job in sunburst gold (the car was originally cream), and deluxe padded seats (much more comfortable than the stock seats in these cars), an aftermarket stereo, and a small monogram tag "LAW" on the dashboard. Other than that, this car is bone stock, rust and accident-free, with extremely low miles, and is climate-controlled storage. it has been completely gone through, from the fuel tank and lines, the cooling system, the brake system, the transmission, all fluids and a full tune-up. It sits on new Michelin Defender tires. The car has all original sheetmetal, all the proper welds along the fenders under the hood, and the proper dimples in the headlight bezels. The frame and floor pans are as clean as you will see on any car of this vintage. It is rock solid and super straight. The paint shines up nicely. The interior is very clean, with only minor sunfade on the carpeting. Comes with a new camel-colored convertible top (new in box). The chrome on the bumpers and hubcaps is starting to show some oxidization, but nothing glaring. Could use refreshing if the car is going to be shown. If the custom paint color is not to your liking, this is an outstanding candidate for an easy paint job. You wont find a straighter, more rust-free unrestored example.
