It started at a 427 tall deck that was bored and stroked to 505 cubic inches. It is topped with an Edelbrock intake that holds a Quick Fuel Technologies 850 CFM carburetor. Roller rockers on a Clay Smith camshaft give this truck a nice lope. It was built with an Eagle crankshaft, Mallory HEI and new headers. Backing that big block is a 4L80E automatic transmission that was built to handle up to 1,200 horsepower. Then the power is routed out back to a Ford 9” rear end with 3.50:1 posi gears!
