a beautiful and very meticulously built .. 1969 firebird with the original engine and I do have the original transmission but I have converted to a 5speed manual .. the engine is a 350 with #62 heads that I had built for this car , they are date matched and the valves are stainless steel all the way through the stem and I do have the original heads to this car . a mild cam was added when the engine was built and has a very nice choppy idle .the 5 speed trans is a tremec 600 that was professionally installed with the rear gear being installed at the same time and is a 373 gear , very good combo for road trips as I have driven the car 130 miles from home to va beach cruising the interstate at 75 and tacking 2700 in 5th gear .. she has dual elec fans and a 4 core be cool radiator to keep her cool .. aluminum edelbrock intake with a msd atomic throttle body fuel injection setup with msd distributor and and coil with 6al msd ignition .. the atomic fuel injection has a hand held display and controller to adjust timing ,idle rpm`s which I have set at 900 , fuel sqirts , fans and so much more ( very nice and expensive setup ) the hand held controller has a port under the dash to plug it in for easy storage of the controller when not in use .. the gauges were updated to a digital gauge and also include a tack in the gauge cluster which the car also sports a tack on the hood .. after market a/c was added due to space as the car did come with a/c and I still have the original compressor and mounting brackets and the condenser box … the battery was relocated to the trunk and a kill switch was added to the exterior of the car as an anti theft device … the exhaust begins with long branch ram air manifolds with flowmaster exhaust ( sounds awesome ) .. coil over suspension in the front and a lowered suspension in the rear , big disc brakes at all 4 corners with chrome rims that cost over $ 1000,00 ) brand new nexen rubber shoes with only 1500 miles .. the car was professionally rewired from front to rear with an updated fuse box … the interior was redone and the buckets seat backs recline , a custom console was built to accommodate the kenwood blue tooth stereo with polk speakers , navigation and backup camera system ( as seen in pics) usb ports were installed in the front and rear of the console for charging modern devices , tilt steering and a new wheel were also added to the interior … all of the electronics are mounted in the cock pit under the dash with easy access and less clutter in the engine bay .. the floors were cover in a rubber hush mat to keep the heat out and the cockpit quiet with a new carpet installed over it … the body is and was 100% rust free and all original , totally stripped this car to bare metal , front and rear frame were removed and stripped and repainted , the under boby was stripped and re under coated with rhino liner .. the body is 100% Detroit steel not the aftermarket thin metals of today and was completely disassembled prior to to paint and reasembaled after paint … paint is ppg with ppg concept dcu 2021 clear coat .. 4 coats of base and 5 coats of clear were applied with a final color sand and buff .. for a mirror finish …. this car is a head turner and a topic of discussion at every stop .. has always been garage kept and not seen rain since I have owned it ..
