The car was refinished in dark blue around 2000 and the seats were reupholstered in black. Modifications include a side-exit exhaust system, 15″ American Racing wheels, and an aftermarket stereo, and the car also has four-wheel disc brakes, Bilstein shocks, a cabin heater, chrome bumpers, and retractable headlights. The fiberglass body was delivered from the factory in Laguna Blue (978). It was then repainted in dark blue in the late 1990s or early 2000s. The side-exit exhaust system was added and additional equipment includes a domed hood, flip-up headlights, chrome bumpers, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and a retractable antenna. Blemishes on the paint and chrome are noted, and close-up photos are shown in the gallery. The 15″ American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are mounted with 205/70 front and 215/70 rear Michelin Harmony tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The bucket seats were reupholstered in black and the carpeting was replaced.
