This 1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R is #239 of 250 built for the model year, all of which were powered by a 5. 8-liter V8 linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The $13,699 R Competition Option specified Crystal White Clearcoat paintwork and Saddle cloth upholstery as well as 17×9″ alloy wheels, adjustable Koni dampers, upgraded springs, an upgraded front sway bar, a front strut tower brace, a heavy-duty aluminum radiator, an auxiliary oil cooler and power steering cooler, a 20-gallon fuel cell, and a high-capacity fuel pump. The Cobra R can be distinguished from the standard Cobra coupe by its redesigned front end, the absence of fog lights, and a raised cowl on the fiberglass hood to accommodate the engine’s taller intake plenum. The only color offered was Crystal White Clearcoat (ZR), and additional equipment includes a fixed rear spoiler, power-adjustable mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets.
