Work included replacing body panels followed by a repaint in Hot Rod Orange, powder-coating the frame, lowering the front and rear axles, mechanical refreshment, and installing a three-speed manual transmission from a later-model Camaro. It is powered by a rebuilt 265ci V8, and additional features include a rebuilt 3. 73:1 rear differential, American Racing Torq Thrust 15″ wheels, Bilstein shocks, Pertronix ignition, a wraparound rear window, pine wood bed trim, a heater and defroster, and a retro-style AM/FM radio. During the refurbishment, a rear fender as well as the front fenders, bed box, and doors were replaced. The body was sandblasted and rust repairs to the cab corners were carried out, and the truck was subsequently refinished in single-stage PPG Concept urethane Hot Rod Orange paint. The glass and trim was replaced along with the door handles, latches, and hinges. The bed floor is trimmed with pine wood slats separated by polished stainless steel strips. Additional features include a wraparound rear window, a side view mirror, an electric wiper motor, and quarter vent windows. The American Racing Torq Thrust 15″ wheels are mounted to five-lug hubs and wrapped in 255/60 rear and 225/60 front BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes, and Bilstein shocks are fitted at all four corners.
