This 1999 Saab 9-3 Viggen is a non-sunroof model that was initially used as a customer training vehicle with Saab’s Viggen Flight Academy at the Road Atlanta raceway. The car is powered by a replacement turbocharged 2. 3-liter inline-four, and its five-speed manual transaxle is a replacement that was reportedly installed approximately 12k miles ago. The car is finished in Lightning Blue Metallic over Rocky Black and Deep Blue leather, and it has been modified with 17″ BBS wheels, Koni rear shocks, and a Forge 007 bypass valve. Other equipment includes fog lights, a rear spoiler, heated power-adjustable front seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The 9-3 Viggen features a revised rear hatch spoiler, aerodynamic bumper covers, and rocker panel extensions when compared to the standard 9-3. The Carfax report lists “minor damage” at that time as well as an accident in an August 2007 entry. Rock chips are noted up front along with scratches out back, clearcoat failure on the roof, and worn rear quarter-window moldings. The 17″ BBS wheels show curb marks and are mounted with Riken Raptor ZR A/S tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
