Subsequent work consisted of performing an engine tune-up, which involved replacing the radiator hoses and spark plugs in addition to a refresh of the suspension. The 425ci V8 sends power to the front wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and the car is finished in dark green over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes 15â³ chrome-clad steel wheels, power-assisted brakes and steering, pop-up headlights, power windows, and air conditioning. The Toronado debuted for the 1966 model year and was the first General Motors product to offer front-wheel-drive.
