This 1975 BMW 3. 0CS was modified in the style of a 3. 0CSL Group 4 race car during an 18-year build that was completed in 2016, and it is powered by a 3. 5L Hartge H6SP inline-six equipped with mechanical fuel injection and paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The car has been fitted with “Batmobile”-style aerodynamic bodywork and wears a Chamonix finish with painted BMW Motorsport livery. The race-prepped cabin houses a roll cage, a custom dash, Sparco racing seats with harnesses, kill switches, and a fire suppression system. Additional equipment includes 18″ Fikse wheels, Porsche 993 RSR brake calipers, custom-valved Bilstein shocks, polyurethane suspension bushings, a Fuel Safe fuel cell, Stahl headers, and a straight-pipe exhaust system. This E9 race car was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024 and is now offered in New York with a bill of sale. The car was fitted with CSL “Batmobile”-style bodywork during the build, which included a widened front air dam, fender flares, a roof spoiler, a rear wing, and a decklid spoiler. It was refinished in Chamonix with painted BMW Motorsport-style livery and various decals.
