8-liter M42 inline-four and installing a revised clutch assembly and flywheel along with a limited-slip differential, a ZHP-sourced steering rack, and an upgraded sound system. Shifting is through a five-speed manual transmission and the car has been refinished in its factory Brilliant Red. Additional modifications include an Ireland Engineering short-shift kit, a Turner Motorsports ECU tuning chip, 15â³ BBS Y-spoke wheels, H&R springs, Bilstein shocks, and an M Tech II steering wheel and shift knob as well as black microfiber cloth upholstery for the front sport seats. The 318is was available as a two-door sedan only and received both front and decklid spoilers. Additional exterior details include black bodyside moldings and power-adjustable side mirrors with color-keyed housings. Heat-rejecting window tint was applied in 2022 and the windshield was replaced in that same year. A dent is noted atop the front-left fender and paint blemishes on various body panels are shown up close in the gallery. Silver-finished BBS 15â³ Y-spoke wheels are mounted with 205/55 Vredestein Sprint+ tires. H&R springs and Bilstein shocks were installed in 2019 along with Ireland Engineering stainless-steel brake lines. The brake pads and rotors at each corner were replaced and a ZHP-sourced steering rack was installed in 2021.
