This 1952 MG TD was refurbished in the early 1990s and has been updated with a 1. 5-liter XPEG inline-four from an MG TF. Finished in burgundy over beige leather, the car is equipped with a four-speed manual transmission, a tan soft top, 15â³ steel wheels, hubcaps, wind wings, a louvered hood, and dual SU carburetors. The selling dealer acquired the car out of long-term storage in Ohio in early 2024, and subsequent work involved installing a stainless-steel exhaust system, rebuilding the braking system and the tachometer, refurbishing the fuel tank, and replacing the tires, ignition wires, points and condenser, exhaust-manifold gaskets, and horns. Features include a replacement tan folding soft top, tan-colored grille slats, a louvered hood, a folding windshield, windshield-mounted mirrors, wind wings, running boards, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The windshield-wiper motor does not work, the top boot is stained, and the rear-quarter side-curtain sections are missing. Silver-finished 15â³ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with 165-series Vredestein Sprint Classics tires that were replaced in preparation for the sale, as was the spare tire that is affixed to the rear. Braking is handled by drums at each corner, and the system received a replacement master cylinder and wheel cylinders in May 2024. The cabin has been refurbished and houses a split bench seat trimmed in beige leather. Appointments include black carpeting, a passenger-side grab handle, door-panel map pockets, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.
